He wants to be there during live shows, he wants to go visit Cumia compound when Norton is a guest... and he simply does not belong there. It seems like this will be a problem for years to come because Anthony is too cowardly to speak up and Jim is relying on Sam to do the managerial legwork to keep his XM paycheck coming. Jim just pretends to like Sam as a financial career move but also cause he needs an ally/drop zone to land on now that he's ditched Gregg.

How many times has Sam said he doesn't even want the show to have anything to do with comedy or comic guests? Sam doesn't like Jim or the stuff Jim is about either and it's for the Opiest of reasons possible - cause he can't compete in that realm (Comedian) and is insecure and enraged about feeling left out when.
