After 40 years living in NYC, why does Victor Henley sound like he just fell off a tractor in 1950s Alabama?

Is it possible he is "jazzing it up?"

Are you implying that he's hamming up a southern persona in order to trick New Yorkers that won't know the difference?

If so I agree

Considering he shits on anything actual southern people like, you may be on to something.

His accent is the only thing that keeps the audience from confusing him with the doorman.

isn't it obvious? he does it in order to keep touring with Ron White....who has a big audience in the southern states

And appealing to the Sirius trucker audience. You think Opie chose his diverse crew without looking at his audience demographics? He's been doing this since he was 18. 18!

You ever tried selling meat from a Chevy s-10 with a Yankee accent?

He sounds like he wouldn't want to eat in the same restaurant as Sherrod.

Quit making Vic sound likeable.

If he was as Southern as he acts, he'd have tried to buy Sherrod by now.

I doubt it. Sherrod is a low quality negro.

"You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy." - Vic Henley, at least three times a day.

Lol@ victor

sounds like a 400 pound trucker from alabama looks like a dyke from dumbo, brooklyn

Wait. What the Christ. I just googled him and had no idea that's what he looks like. Something is amiss!

It's in the meat.

I'm pretty sure Vic is short for Victoria, not Victor.

I used to not hate Vic. I didn't know he's lived in NYC for 40 yrs. I thought he moved there to do Opie's shitty show. I knew there had to be something sketchy and fucked up with that guy.
