ELI5: Why Does Opie Allow a Line Cook to Constantly Derail the Show

Because I apparently enjoy torture, I turned on Opie's show. Opie, Vic and Sherrod are talking about music; not terrible but whatever. Then the fucking Line Cook completely changes the subject and wants to tell everyone about what he ate for lunch today; he does this literally while the others are discussing something he knows nothing about. And guess what, the obese attention whore was given the floor to babble about himself.

Imagine if Jim or Anthony pulled that shit, Opie would have a meltdown.

Why the fuck is Opie allowing a worthless line cook who lies more than Opie to get away with such bullshit?

I just don't get it. Does this overbearing asshole pay Opie? I just don't get it.
