The different colors and fonts used are horrible. Also, the audacity to call a week in Italy "Italy Tour" as though though they're on an a real rock and roll tour is annoying. You got a week of shows in Italy. It's called gigs in Italy then you go back home to play at an Applebee's lounge. Power to you for being able to scratch out a living doing what you like but lets not pretend we're on European tours.
It lists that Brother Joe is playing for Elevation which bill themselves as "the greatest U2 tribute band on the planet!", but 2U bill themselves as "The Worlds 2nd Best U2 Show". Seems like a real snake in the grass move by Brother Joe.
I agree, wholeheartedly so. I dont have the blind hate that flourishes on here daily for either Ant or Joe (although on a rare occasion some of it is downright hilarious), but that website is disgraceful to say the least! As commentor below said it looks like a shitty old hack Angelfire site. Ugh.
There was a lot of pants-jizzing from people here about getting a stupid club gig cancelled, but I'd be impressed if someone managed to get U2 to completely ban them from performing any of their songs based on Joe's Facebook posts. I would feel bad for the rest of the "band," though.
i'm sure you're right. it was just a dickish thought. i wouldn't want any of those jokers to actually lose money. i don't give a shit what anyone says on Facebook.

Contact page shows the address of Brother Joe Entertainment, but also links to a dead facebook group. Also on the page is a promo poster with the URL containing HI REZ while it is anything but. Their band photo is also a tiny selfie, with what looks like a blind David Letterman wearing a hat. They have a text-file songlist from 2010, and a text-file biography, where their big claim is playing along with an already filmed U2 video.

The venues get licenses that allow it, the bands don't generally get involved in it.
I guess it's technically possible the U2 could go to ASCAP and revoke permission to 2U but that's quite a stretch.
