Why?

Is his wife the only one who doesn't immediately know that Pete is a raging flamer? He's funny though and his podcast and HBO show are good. The tv show could be great if it realized that Pete is a flamer in extreme denial because he was raised in a cult.

I like him! His progressively sliding more and more down the SJW hill isn't out of character at all, is the thing. He's always been like that. But you could do way WAY worse for that type of comic. I mean, literally almost any other comic that fits that bill, including most of his comic friends/almost all his podcast guests. But he is funny. His stand up special on HBO right now is really good. His sketch videos are good. And his podcast when he has someone on that doesnt suck is good!

Isn't his podcast called You Made It Weird or some shit? It's a perfect title to describe the host/guest interactions, at least from the couple I've heard

I've listened to his podcast and watched his TV Shows and comedy so I know a fair bit about him. Two points in his positive:

1. He acknowledges his lack of interest in masculine things and how he has always gotten along well with women. He also talks about his sexuality which is straight but underlined with insecurities from his christian upbringing.

2. He is very liberal but because he's all about spirituality and thus forgiveness and understanding, he tries to empathize with Right wingers and doesn't scathe at them like other lefty comics.

The Montreal Comedy Festival from 2 years ago where that giant panel of angry NY comics all ganged up & just smashed him for 10 minutes is my favorite/only truly enjoyable post-Anthony show moment. (Before Jim & Sam) Maron was so unnecessarily rotten to him and it made me laugh.
