Do we know for sure Line of the Day was Opie's idea? It could be Anthony mocking his own bad idea. To take a shot at Opie they could have had someone call in to say "you guys missed a good Chip line."
even if it was anthony's idea, i can recall him really not liking it, just listen to the shows. any time louie or patrice are there for "line of the day," it brings the show to a dead stop and often, they mock it openly. i think like "what did we learn," it was opie's brain-child.
Of course it was. If you listen to Opie, he's always claiming to be doing a "bit" or going to the obvious "line" like he's this technician of comedy. That's why he always shrivels up and blames his retarded behavior on his dedication to a "bit". Line of the day is just an extension of that.

it's all the confirmation i need that chip is ope. before now it was mere speculation.

Chip is 100% Opie. The 'wait wait' when he's struggling to find a joke, the bullshit stories, the extreme guy 'dvv dvv'.

i just can't believe he would've done it in front of the guy for so long, jim is really much too spineless to pull that off.

He literally says "I was in the mafia" during Opie's clearly fake mafia story. That's all the confirmation you need.

ok, ok...so we can all assume Ms. Hughes enjoys black gentlemen and opie is an anti-semite?

It was Opie's idea and he never won it once. Sad!

He did. But the lines were never that great. Probably done to avoid greggshells

I bet the Opster found it on prepburger. I would love Sam to Jocktober Opie's show.

First time i knew was when Opie claimed to be part of the mafia. Chip jumped right in with the obvious mockery. Too lazy to link.
