@SiriusXM has RT'd J&S, Dipaolo and Ellis tweets from today. No mention of Gregg and the gang for weeks. I hear management is very happy with the direction of @Siriusxm

He probably justifies it by saying "I'll let MANAGEMENT know what's going on considering those people are asleep at the fawkin wheel anyway... sniff"

Anyone else loving how, for years, Opie spent his career bashing management, only to start praising them once Ant got canned? It really is perfect.

O&A spend years doing well in radio, making money and exerting so much influence due to their popularity that even being fired for Sex for Sam didn't end their careers. They trashed management because they could, and Opie was right in the thick ofit with hating management (complaining about people like Gary the Radio Wizard and such). Then, Ant gets canned. Opie sees it as his breakout chance, but knows that the show is different, slower, and less successful. He starts kissing up to management with phrases like "We have 20,000 new subscribers" and "management is happy with the direction of the show."

He's desperate: he knows that without Ant, there is no O&A, and ergo no O&A juggernaut radio show that could get away with that. He knows his appeal without Ant is gone. He knows there will be no other deal coming down the pipeline. Suddenly, he sees re-signing his deal for only two years as a problem, same with re-signing for only one year: the company can get rid of him that much faster because the contracts are all short term deals.

Suddenly getting a little bump in his money isn't as important. Jimmy leaves and teams up with Sam, stealing the morning slot. Morning shows are more important than afternoon shows. Opie is clinging to whatever he thinks will work, his "guys." He knows he has lost pretty much all of his appeal and is desperately trying to hold onto any bargaining chip (whas that) he can find. His time is almost, up, though, and sooner than later he knows his influence will run out for good, leaving him spinning records for The Todd Show.

Meanwhile, on SiriusXM, Ron, Ant, and Jimmy start a show. Fez comes in occasionally, as does Scott. Opie hangs himself out of the window of his apartment after he catches Lynsi in a gangbang with the brothahs he befriended at jury duty.

Peckahs.
