All joking aside, the double standard that the language police have established for urban slang is pretty obnoxious. I read a story not too long ago about a civil rights activist being interviewed and he jokingly called the white reporter lady a "news nigga" and when she laughed and (stupidly) repeated it back he suddenly demanded that she be fired. And she was.
I now realize that any time someone says "all joking aside" they should be immediately killed.
It's really insane to me that the word "thug" is now considered racist. You can't say anything not positive about people darker or gayer than you without getting fired (Unless you're Ant)
And in the case from this story, the guy had just used the term "news niggas", referring to this middle aged white lady, she used the exact same phrase, again referring to herself, and he gets all uppity.
In these retarded PC speech rules, there is a sense in which I kind of understand someone losing their job when it's proven they used a racial slur either to someone's face to insult them, or just in general to describe a group in a demeaning way. I don't think it should happen, but at least there's an argument. But when you use the words in quotes to talk about the word as a concept, or even if you repeat something someone else said, and you have to use the word to actually get the full quote, and they still want the person's scalp (if they're white), then that's proof that it's not about racism, it's not about injustice, it's just trying to exercise the little bit of power they have to stick it to a white person.
No one thinks that lady is racist. No one, even the people firing her, even make that accusation that she's racist. That's why when you see stories like this, where the thought criminal didn't even use the word as an insult or pejorative but they still got fired, the people firing them don't even try to say they're being fired because they're racist; it's always shit like, "she displayed a clear lack of judgment in this case" or some bullshit like that.
So even by their own admission, this PC bullshit isn't about hunting down and rooting out the last 10 racist white people left in America, it's about scolding white people because "that's our word" and making sure white people all play by the same made up, bullshit rules that have nothing to do with logic.
I'm sure that after being so offended and traumatized that he was shaking, after being subjected to the disgusting verbal assault of hearing a 56 year old white woman repeat his own words back to him, in regards to herself, this brave young civil rights activist went on to listen to his favorite inspirational song, with lyrics like, "nigga nigga nigga nigga, I kilt dat fuckin nigga. Dat nigga fuck wit me, I shoot dat nigga in his fuckin face. Nigga nigga nigga nigga".
It wasn't a "civil rights activist" she was interviewing, it was some random guy she was asking for permission to use a video he had recorded. He called her a news nigga and she goes, "well, this 'news nigga' wants to use your video", or some awkward old lady shit like that. The best part was immediately after she said that, he goes "uh, miss, I need to speak to your manager". Like it's a fucking McDonalds. God nigs would be funny if they weren't such dangerous animals.
