Is the Opie Show better than Jim and Sam (Serious)?

The difference in energy level is easy to perceive, and the missing comedian guests on Jim and Sam makes me wonder... Also you can see Rich Vos at Magoobys Joke House on May 11.

No. Vic Henley and a chef with sherrod fake laughing is never going to be better than anything. Silence is better.

Is it a "try hard" thing where Opie's show becomes annoying when they do too much fake laughing and yell "Yeahhhhhhhh" a few too many times... or is it that Jim and Sam are doing better?

I'd suggest that when Opie has different comedians, it's OK background noise with a few bright spots from time to time.

Recently, with the daily addition of a fat sous chef who loudly laughs at everything uttered and attempts to dominate every discussion, the show is a dumpster fire that if left on in the background becomes very annoying.

Jim and Sam is terrible due to:
- Jim not giving a care about doing a good show. - Jim focusing more on his phone than anything Sam says.
- Sam, who refuses to recognize his lack of intelligence and poor knowledge of current events, acting like he's an expert on every topic discussed in an adamant manner. - Sam's delusions that he's funny/entertaining
- Jim allowing Sam to plan out every show. - The complete lack of a genuine quality to the show; it sounds forced.
- Sam believing that he's famous and acting like he's the headliner.

If SXM management actually listened to either show, then Jim, Sam and Opie would be fired.

You know, when he's talking about restaurant and food related stuff, the Cuban guy is not bad. But the constant fake uproarious laughter at ANYTHING said it just too much.

Whenever he's on the show turns into Roland's food court. Occasionally that's fine but this guy feels the need to dominate every conversation and make everything about himself.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit this...but yes. As corny as Opie's show is...those old bastards seem to be having fun. Jim and Sam on the otherhand, seem to be trying to force something thats not there.

I feel like its literally the exact opposite lol

Opie is in that "Ive got 10 mil in the bank and dont give a fuck" mode, where Jim and Sam are still aiming for something. Neither show is very good, but I can't quite put my finger on why Jim and Sam's show is so bad. I think its because it never just feels like a "hang". Sam is always ruining it.

No, it's his smug nasal whine filling in the gaps when perpetually-sleep deprived Jim falls silent over and over.

No, its really not close either. Jim and Sam have some good chemistry and they get some decent guests, as long as its not the god damn fighters or wrestlers. Opie is just him sitting with any combo of Vic, Vos and Sherrod and its just boring and really not funny at all.

opie radio rules. the destroyer, sherrod, vic and the mad cuban make an amazing radio team. if they can add ant to the team the show would be perfect.

"Go on now!"

PB1 Rulezzzz

I still feel like Sam is afraid to put her foot down.

I feel like she's a hard worker and will come into her own any day now.

I hope she comes into her eternal sleep

I tried to hate listen to Gregg and the gang in the afternoon but I had to turn it off. They talk about nothing just killing time right from the start. They laugh uproariously at absolutely anything. It's so totally pointless. I don't know why Sirius let him broadcast any more. You might as well just mic up random offices in the building and broadcast the inane chatter to kill time in that time slot.

White noise vs black noise

Depends on what you like, Jim and Sam is funnier, but they drag topics into the fucking ground before moving on.

Opie's show is very much a "hang" old O&A style.... With significantly less funny people. Does have Vos though.
