Joe Cumia's Army "education". What's the deal? Anyone have any details on his stint in the Army?

This is the second photo I've seen of him wearing an Airborne hat. I thought I read somewhere that he did the minimum stint in the Army and didn't serve with particular distinction. Not to mention his time after the Army was one of dealing coke and being in a trashy Long Island band.

Seeing this is public record, can we locate his final rank, years in the Army, etc.?

Heard he was dishonorably discharged for peter-gazin' in the showers

Jesus Christ someone lend this guy some commas and periods.

He was a dishwasher.

He was in Al-Qaeda.

Just a heads up: you can't access records less than ~70 years old.

I only know because I requested my grandfather's WWII records.

Not without a FOIA request.

3 hours later and no Biloxi Blues jokes? This sub is losing whatever edge it had.

I was expecting Cpl Klinger of the 4077th.

He was a cook, it's weird he never mentions that.

Joe admits he served only four years and was never actually deployed to a foreign country, I think he was in from 80-84. He was Honorably Discharged but since this was the Reagan years as long as you weren't murdering people off-base on your free time you'd get your honorable no matter what at the end of your stint (as opposed to the 90's when you could get dishonorably kicked out for simple possession). The fact he's constantly wearing his 88th Airborne cap like he combat dropped into Grenada reminds me of all the guys who claimed to be Vietnam vets and wore all sorts of Vietnam Veteran hats and vests when really they were based in Okinawa the entire time but technically took part in Vietnam operations.

My Dad was drafted for Vietnam but got stationed in Germany for his entire deployment.

Whenever anyone asked him if he served, he told them that he kept Germany safe from the VC.

And look how that turned out.

I don't know how long he served, but I'm pretty sure back then the Army had 2 year enlistments.

What's the deal? Well why are they airborne in the first place? They're all going to the same place, why don't they just take a bus!

The Army is the least intelligent branch of our entire armed forces. Get it now?

He was stationed an hour South of Ho Chi Minh City. He just ate kratom, smoked cigars, and made some sweet guitar riffs on a hammock all day.
