Real question: How has either Opie, Anthony or Jimmy grown in the 15 years we have known them?

Jimmy is less fake angry fatty than he was

The arc of the Norton universe is long, but it bends toward an elderly, emaciated sissy queen tweeting room service complaints at the CEO of NightTours.

Opie's grown to a full C

Anthony is now a staff Sargent in the Islamic State. He earned his stripes with the Nice truck attack and biting his child bride's hand. If you don't call that growth then I don't know what is.

Jim has become more conscious of women's rights for completely unselfish reasons

They've become boring unfunny faggots.

I started typing a long response and grew tired. The short version is on WNEW Jim was a weird, sexual deviant, angry comic. Jim had horrible crutches like his "puddle of AIDS" and blowjob noises. Other comedians still remind him how hack he was, especially Bobby and Vos. Now Jim is a diva, he thinks he is above most people and only does things that please him. Jim is a few months away from pontificating about the craft of comedy and referring to his listeners as civilians.

this is what I was looking for.... Ok, now do Op and Ant

This plus Ant was better when he was pretending to be a normal human. Listening to the old clips when he was dating Jill Nicolini and even him just driving to work, and doing normal things, he had so many funny relatable stories.

In a way he matured to the point he could be his own person and stop caring what people think so much. Like being a cuck to his wives. But the downside is that Ant without any structure in his life and not getting out of his house created an unrelatable monster who is just drinking all the time and trying to bang easy fucks without putting effort into life.

I'm not one to judge, just my selfish shit I want out of Ant. Step one IMO is get something closer to a real job, with radio partners like Jimmy and get out from under the bridge you troll.

I'm sure he works hard to do the show each day but life is short. He could be doing way better if he got over himself. Same with Jimmy, he needs to understand what he's good at and what people like about him. It's not pontificating about politics or life for that matter, only Patrice was good at that.

Opie's bank account. Got that Cumia cash.

Opie's tits have grown.

Opie didn't have nearly as many speaking problems, he would direct the show and play off Anthony and even Jim. His role in the show was as minimalist as it could possibly have been. Once the whole shock jock era died and they had to transition to more content-oriented radio rather than just doing shocking things, Opie seemed to get progressively worse. Repeating same old jokes day in and day out, and just became an all around annoying figure.

It's amazing how tolerable Opie becomes when he just allows himself to shut the fuck up and he doesn't feel like his dick is shrinking every moment other people are being funny and he has to jump in.

Also the explaining of stuff that needs no explanation just so he can talk. "Just to bring it back for the people out there uhhh....." shut up idiot we don't need you to bring it back.

Anthony has more guns, a criminal record, more speeding tickets, and is the current reigning Hand Biting/Rib Stomping Champion of Roslyn, NY.

Whatevs.

Anthony's face became one of those gargoyle statues

As radio hosts, poorly. I started listening in 2005, and maybe it was that they were excited to be back, and mornings were new, but they were all better.

Angry Jimmy was funnier.

Anthony talked about how he was in bed by 9pm and he was in a steady relationship (he even teases Opie about how young his girlfriend is at one point).

Opie understood that for the most part his job was not to be funny, and he gave Jim and Anthony room to work.

On a personal level who the hell knows. Ant seems like he was better off in 2005, but he might be better now than a year or two ago. Opie has a family and might be doing well with that, no way to know. And Jim is weird.

Opie is the exact same shitty unfunny broadcaster he's always been, Jimmy has regressed comedically by a lot in my opinion, and Anthony is the same trashy guy that ruined his dream job because of a fucking tweet.

No, none of grown. All have been diminished.

Opie is just now hopelessly out of his depth. And it's not because he's not funny, which he isn't. It's because he is simply not very good at talk radio. In his role, he doesn't have to be funny. But he does a have to be able to talk into a microphone in a professional manner. He can't.

Anthony is still funny but became a slave to his lack of impulse control made worse by his drunkedness. His obsession with a few repetitive topics has made him boring on his solo show.

Jim is a combo of both in a way. Like Opie, he is now out of his depth a bit as a main host. Much better third wheel or comic relief. Unlike Opie though, he might improve. And like Anthony, Jim gives in far too often to his own impulses. Coupled with limited interests out side of the studio, this has left him with the notion that porn girls on the radio is the gold star of comedy. When they are not available go for UFC. Nothing else matters.

The three together (yes, including Opie) are a million times better than what we have now. O and A at the end was dragged down by laziness and infighting but still was so much better than sum of the three separate offerings.

the infighting was some of the best content too. back in the day most of what they did was very entertaining.

By infighting I don't mean on air fights. I mean the unspoken unacknowledged fact that Opie and Anthony didn't speak off air and could barely be in the same room with each other for the last few years to the show was on. And that Jim felt about the same about Opie. This lead them to caring less about the show and its content.

Things that have grown:

  • Ant's liver
  • Opie's tits
  • Jim's ego
  • Sam's toy collection

Opie had a family, and seems to be the happiest and healthiest of all of them. Even though he is still the most hate able one.

He's got the most normal life for sure. But his own insecurity have crippled him as a broadcaster and as a person. He has selected Sherrod and Vic for two reasons: 1) he wants friends instead of capable radio partners; 2) he grew to hate being the unfunny one.

The Wee for a Wii commotion marked the end of an era in O&A's brand of radio and Opie's ineptitude as a talk show host came to light without outrageous and edgy bits to fall back on. The Jim, Ant and Cellar crowd banter carried the show from then on and the best Opie could do at that point was not contribute and go in to board op mode. Jim wasn't such a boring diva yet and like others have said Ant could pretend to be a relatable human being instead of a cave troll in his mansion of domestic violence and statutory rape fantasies and without each other all 3 became the worst versions of themselves which bring us to the disappointment and resentment we all feel today. Any hope of rekindling the magic is long dead at this point, bringing all 3 back together would only highlight how irreversibly damaged they have become through the fallout of the many show splits and petty dramas that have occurred in the last 3 years. They may be faggots now, but here's to the men that offered a space of respite to the losers, outcasts and reprobates that will ultimately destroy them.

Opie went from a full A to a nice C cup...
