It's so glaringly obvious. It's also an example of why ambition isn't always a good thing.

Travis has a better radio voice than Sam. He has a great laugh. He's pretty quick, is happy to laugh at himself and interacts better with Jim and seems to be more in tune with Norton's humour. Yet he's happy where he is. He sees himself as a producer, a behind the scenes guy who will occasionally chime in when called upon. His mother was snatched from his life by a Jewish gentleman, yet he bears no ill will towards the Hebrews.

Contrast that with Sam. Nasal, headache inducing voice. His genuine laugh sounds like a hyena in it's death throes. His fake (and increasingly more frequent) laugh, is an Opie-esque "huh huh huh." He's a bore. He is overly defensive and obsessed with gay wrestling. He has admitted he doesn't like comedy guests. He also has denied the full extent of the Jewish peoples' suffering at the hands of the Nazis and appears to be an enthusiastic and vicious anti-Semite.

One doesn't want to be the centre of attention but would do it well. The other should be Googling news stories and lining up clips but has forced himself onto the airwaves. It's all falling apart, Al.

Some of my favorite shows of all time. Ant is really good at exploiting people and used Sam as his evil little henchman to dig up the shit, stir it in a festering cauldron, and dumping onto the teeming masses.

Ideally, they'd add a third mic. Possibly someone whose face is horrifyingly ugly, which is perfect for radio.
