There's no need for all of these men to be so underdressed and it actually all wouldn't seem as ridiculous if they had them wear clothes. You're right about showing off lovely bodies to mostly men. I guess it's the same appeal as bodybuilding, which seem to be a 99% dude audience.

I would, however, posit that since these guys are actively trying not to injure themselves or their...dance partners(?), they also want to restrict their movement as little as possible.

If the concept of wrestling is to be a fake version of whatever MMA is, they would be dressed exactly like MMA people. not wanting to restrict movement is a pretty valid concern when your stunts are pre-planned and could result in you fucking up and dying for a television show

when I was a kid watching wrestling and hearing how gay it was, I didn't get it because what I liked about it was watching guys hurt each other with cool moves, and most of the favorites wore jeans and t-shirts. It didn't even occur to me that men were touching each other and not wearing clothes, because I wasn't a faggot who seems to look out for that type of stuff. If that's the main thing you notice, you may be craving it.
