If you back this up to like 39:20 you can hear many great examples of what makes Opie a worthless, piece of shit hack in just a couple of minutes. It makes his lie about talking to Patrice on the phone for hours all the more entertaining.

The incredible irony of Opie is that he hosted the funniest radio show of all time, with many of the funniest people in the world, yet he's comedically illiterate. He's incapable of wit, of joke-telling, of contributing anything funny to the conversation. He just simply isn't funny in any way. And as such doesn't like, and can't understand or appreciate comedy. He can't tell the difference between Patrice and Sherrod, probably couldn't tell the difference between Richard Pryor and Gallagher. In his mind, blurting out the fact that Patrice is probably gonna die of diabetes (which he actually did), is the same as Jim and Ant ripping on each other for their jokes bombing or other superficial things. All those fuckers on that show should be sainted for having to work with that humor-killing lump.
