hey man i have a great idea, it's just gonna be like a bunch of us really laid back with a loose script just kinda winging it yknow? it'll be like seinfeld meets cheers, i'll pay for the whole thing and sell it for 5 bucks, or 2 bucks, or 7 bucks and the episodes will be between 30 and 80 minutes. we'll spend the whole budget on d-b list actors and spend $80 on the set and $200 on production. I got all this extra cash from playing a small part in these shitty hollywood movies that flopped.
my show was alright but a lot of the episodes were shitty and it ended with me getting fucked in the ass by bobby from king of the hill. im louis ck
If you want to hate Louis (and why not) listen to his last appearance on Marc Maron where he discusses Horace and Pete. He talks about all the time he cries while writing it and thinking about what these characters went through.
I can't remember if it was that maron appearance or something else he did around that time, but he kept talking about how the characters were so great and so interesting and it really made me sick because HE fucking wrote them.
It's incredibly prototypical insufferable celebrity behavior to weep over your own work and then go on to tell people about it over and over. I've always thought Louis was a little irritating like that ever since he brought the news of his divorce like it was some new plane of consciousness he'd just achieved.
There's different kinds of smart. He's smart in one way, people told him he was smart(in how we wrote comedy) and thought they meant smart in all ways. So he began thinking he was smart in all ways. He is not smart in all ways.
Yes. He's a stupid man. A man that has made millions off of his wit, creativity, intelligence and business acumen is a "stupid man". By that assessment I assume you think that you are a smarter man. Certainly, if you can classify him as "stupid" then you can see it w/ your superior intellect. So, just curious, how are you doing in life versus this "stupid man"?
I'm genuinely not trying to be facetious here. But if you honestly think Louis CK is smart you really need to expand your mind more and expose yourself two more actual smart people. Start with some classic literature your mind will be blown.
You don't know the difference between "to", "two" and "too".... and you're trying to call out other people's intelligence. I'll hop on that classic literature while you head back to 3rd grade. Have fun dummy.
I think he's a comedic genius. But I don't think he is street smart or philosophically or politically smart.
I don't assume I'm smarter in anyway, but if success is YOUR way of gauging someone's intelligence, then I am actually doing better than he did financially in his late 20s. So...
Heard this then watched H&P and found Louis objectively awful at onscreen emoting. Marc and Louis talked about it like it was some Marlon Brando feat of powerhouse virtuosity. There's a lot of great actors on that show, and Louis embarrasses himself trying to operate on their level. This is a minority assessment, though - tv critics in particular feel Louis has real business being in front of the camera. On the FX show where he's playing himself and it's not terribly serious, he's serviceable, but H&P called for a range that he couldn't provide.
The whole thing was hammy over-acting and stupid cliches, punctuated with asinine barfly arguments. I didn't hate it, but there wasn't anything special about it and I'm sure I'll never watch it again.
She played it better than it was written. It was very jarring cutting to the close-ups of Louis, looking like he was constipated on the bowl when he was trying to sell the character's emotional turmoil.
He's gone through a complete tone change. Some of it may be due to him getting older, but I think a lot of it has to do with audiences changing and also him trying to reinvent his style. Louie from 2005-2011 was amazing. I think he realized though that he can't be that guy forever because then it will be old hat. That being said instead of doing stuff thats old hat, he far too often is doing fag hat stuff.
He jerks off to the fact that he can tell more people about his "process" as the writer/director/producer/typography barista for the show. Whether or not his semen lands on the floor or on Jen Kirmans poorly aged corpse-jaw is irrelevant.
This gave me a hearty laugh. Truth be told: I liked Horace and Pete so whatevs.
Problem with him double down so much against Trump is that one day he's gonna bite off more than he can chew, and the internet is going to go after him like Shia Lebeouf. The people who won the meme wars are going to revel in the challenge of destroying this man, especially since he has a past he been trying to hide.
Comedians and actors are altogether pretty stupid and selfish people, they're saying this shit now because it gets them applause and there's no real risk involved. The moment shit starts to turn it'll be "look I never said he was EVIL I just disagree with him on some things but that's a reasonable position..."
I forget the clip but Patrice talked about the reason he was never very successful (although critically acclaimed) was because he said whatever he wanted to and would not sacrifice himself to become successful. And he talked about favours and one day those favours catching up with celebrities.
Louis CK is a moneymaker and the masturbation story was conveniently hidden due to his bankable status, but one day those favours come calling and he starts speaking like an SJW. The favours have been called in, its like when Tracy Morgan had to speak on behalf of GLAAD. You think Tracy Morgan gives a fuck about gay people?
That's the show that Louie cried to Howie about going broke to produce? He might be a serial rapist who is given a pass for saying mean things about republicans but at least he didn't con his fan base out of money to produce his personal passion project.

Is he still a cop in New Orleans? Making the streets safer, one bad movie at a time.
n/a rahtin 2017-04-05
Check out the one he made with Stone Cold. It's probably the worst movie ever made.
n/a SueLightningsPenis 2017-04-05
He left new orleans to posse up with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and hogtie illegals in Arizona, and lately I think he's been going on dates with Putin

I watched a few episodes and the least interesting part was the characters, none of them were really unique or developed.
n/a Peckah_Inspectah 2017-04-05
This idea is maing me laugh really hard. Louie is the reason I got into OnA and his old aplearances are still hilarious, but he's such a fag.
n/a Ant_Sucks 2017-04-05
He definitely did that on Maron. The entire podcast was devoted to how he felt about those characters, with Marc tonguing his asshole the entire time.
n/a Old_Man_Dummy 2017-04-05
But would you let him masterbate for you?

n/a rahtin 2017-04-05
It was good, but I'd rather watch Louie's grittier stuff where there's eventually a punchline hidden beneath tragedy and struggle.
When I hear people complaining that his FX show wasn't funny I want to spit in their face. It's not a fucking sitcom faggot.
