Sam held it together not too bad for the first few months of this show. There were some wrestlers, sure. But they were limited in number. Now the floodgates have opened and Jim is helpless to stop it because Sam would demand Jim to obsessing over UFC idiots.

Sam is not Jim's equal, Jim needs to put tendie boy in his place. He looks like a progeria patient, and has TERRIBLE taste across the board. If Jim doesn't check Sam's ass, it'll be the downfall of the show. Sam does not have the connections to keep the show relevant.

Jim fell into his "herpy derp, I'm a comedian here, you worry about the boards and callers and mics, I'm just here to be funny" role he had in O&A. The downside is the psychological effect of feeling like a subordinate. I heard more than a few moments of subtle turf wars where Sam essentially staked out his position as "the boss" in the relationship that Opie used to have. He would yell and argue angrily without irony about mic levels, positions, how Jimmy would repeat certain websites unnecessarily which equates to free advertising. Jim basically acted like he did around Opie.

This isn't gonna change. If Anthony ever came back this would make it even more awkward and unfunny cause of the same dynamic. You could tell when they had the live show a month ago.
