Who the fuck even wanted to see that movie anyway? Anime is a niche market and it was stupid of the studio to go and spend $100 million on a movie like that.
I was told it was almost shot frame for frame with the anime. It was a pretty cool movie, the story, vibe, and setting were all very Blade Runner-ish but that's a good thing
Who can even name a famous Japanese actor besides Jackie Chan? They need a draw so people want see this horse shit, Xhao Wang wont exactly put asses in the seats.
