I feel like he understands what good radio is but is content to literally not challenge anything and go along with whatever as long as the paychecks are coming.

Him and Ant both have this sixth sense on picking up and going with funny bits, but now he's happy to yield complete control over to Sam and his "let's not insult the wrestlers I don't want to burn any bridges now" radio.

And there's this Opie-like sense of "I used to do that sort of radio but I've grown up into more mature interviews" which is such a slap in the face to his loyal fans who keep listening hoping they can figure it out.
