As a devout southerner I was not only mystified as to why a native Alabamian would move up north, but all the way to the heart of Yankee country, the Big Apple, NYC.
That has been previously explained on this very sub by one of our astute contributors. Vic can pursue his hedonistic, homosexual lifestyle in the big anonymous city with wild abandon. To attempt that in his gossipy little home town, or even as far away as Birmingham would be suicidal, socially and perhaps literally. Them Klan fellers he makes fun of in his act would have an excuse to make an example of the homo race traitor.
The obvious answer to some would be his activity in some sort of illicit sexual business. But does he possess the qualities a homosexual would be willing to spend hefty sums of cash to indulge in?
