He used to be great but by the time he replaced Howard on the west coast he turned into the out of touch old guy nobody likes. He was always a cranky old man even when he was young. And that worked when his job was to mock dumb teens calling for sex and drugs advice. But when you aren't mocking teen fuck ups anymore it doesn't make for good radio. Then he's "I hate all modern music and movies and don't understand why people like video games." At the same time he was going on The O'Reilly Factor bitching about stuff young people like with Bill, and they were the exact same person.
Carolla has absolutely no charisma. Every time I see him in an interview he sounds like a tired bore. I don't think I've ever laughed at a single joke he's attempted.
I love how Artie bashes Carolla for panhandling his fans to make a fucking movie. How fucking embarrassing. It's almost as pathetic as to ask your fans for money to produce a shitty cartoon. At least Carolla finished making the movie.
I agree, he did finish the movie, but he also got called out by fans/donors for not making good on the perks. One guy gave a bunch of cash for a walk-on part and got dicked around and went public with it. I don't really care about the particulars, but this crowdfunding phenomenon, while intriguing and useful for a lot of people, opens up all sorts of cans of worms when established 'celebrities' partake.
I gave 35 bucks to that movie and I received my t-shirt (that I lost) and dvd that I watched one time. That was the last patreon I will ever give to, but I got my perks. Anybody who gave hundreds or thousands of dollars is a damn idiot. Also, my name is listed in the credits of Road Hard if anyone wants to dox me.

Carolla seems like the west coast version of Ant in the sense that he doesn't really want controversy and just wants to collect a paycheck and go home, but a lot of people bash him on podcast and radio so he just kinda laughs it off because fuck it.
Carols is awful. I would rather listen to Opie than hear that fucking know it all bore babble about race cars for 3 hours. The only similarities he has with Ant are his political views. The guy just isn't funny. He loves the sound of his own voice, and that happens to be one of his worst assets. Booooooo he stinks
His house is beautiful, not a McMansion like Anthony has. But he also has an adult wife and if Anthony had one of those she wouldn't tolerate "what a teenager who suddenly came into money would make his home into."

That being said, I went back and tried to listen to Carolla's show and it's unlistenable with its 2 hole format (Bald Bryan is a hole, as is Gina).
