Jim made a point of taking credit for bringing tons of comics to O&A because they were his friends. Where are those guys now? Opie still gets the old morning show comics plus new guys. Even Anthony has comics in all the time. It really does seem like Sam is running the show, because these guests are the same types of people he'd have on his night show. And as usual, Lazy James just shows up and thinks his mere presence is enough to carry the day.

His friends are mostly too successful to regularly do the show. Bobby and Vos are the only two who see a benefit in appearing on a radio show. The others just go and do Unmasked or Townhall because Sirius gets those shows press. Burr, Louis and Big Amy can go on Fallon to promote stuff to far more people.

And with podcasts any young comics aren't really motivated to go on much. Why would Luis and Nick wake up early once a month when it's not like Jim & Sam have that many more listeners than they already do. It's not 2006 where nobody ever would have heard Patrice if it weren't for O&A. A guy like Patrice today (ie not dead from Snickers and grape soda) would just start a podcast and whore for Dollar Shave Club and Blue Apron.

The only people listening are O&A fans and Jim and Sam are responsible for the content so they can and should change it because they're only gonna drive people away.

The show didn't have one laugh on Monday. Almost an hour with that female wrestler. Then suddenly Chuck Zito is in the studio. Definitely no laughs there. I turned it off after 5 minutes of that. Awful show. I'm not sure who they're trying to appeal to.

The frustrating thing is, old style O&A fans could largely give a fuck about rasslin or ufc or trannies or pornstars. They loved the whole comedian format. That's what worked 100%. Like you say I don't know what sort of small, fringe audience this show is aimed towards. Sam can't honestly think there's enough of a rasslin audience who'll tune in simply because he loves it so much? I fucking hate Sam so much it's affecting my life. He is killing Jimmy. Killing him I say!
