A lot of Americans don't believe it. But the media keeps it going to make it seem like a thing because their preferred candidate lost so the nuts who do believe it, or wish and hope it's true, point to the news to say, "See!! Trump!! Putin!!", with no evidence whatsoever.
It's funny really. Obama called Trump a baby for saying he may not accept the election results. Trump wins and Obama drops a bomb saying "Russian hacking" and the entire MSM and Dem power structure run with it and froth at the mouth. New York Times runs a story talking about wiretapping of Trump Tower, CNN and others talk about wiretaps of Trump, all in support of their Russian theory. The MSM instantly believes what Obama says with no proof at all.
Trump says Obama wiretapped him and the MSM says it's a lie, there's no proof, he's desperate and deflecting. Never mind that for months they all talked about people at Trump Tower being wiretapped. When people on the right start to point out their hypocrisy they twist facts and outright lie. To the point that the New York Times went back into their online archive and edited the story where they said Trump Tower had been wiretapped, removing reference to wire tapping.
Just odd to me how Obama can make an unfounded claim and the MSM buys it hook line and sinker but when Trump does the same, using their own words, he's a liar.
Lots of people believe in the Russian conspiracy 'horseshit', the same way they believe in the Russian involvement in shooting down planes in the Ukraine, the Russian poisoning of opposition, the Russian hacking of DNC servers. There is physical evidence, means, motivation and opportunity. To ignore it is understandable if your mind can't handle international affairs. But to deny it takes away credibility.
I'm not so quite sure it's a conspiracy. Admittedly, I've been laughing at this presidency rather than paying close attention to it, but there seems to be an unusual amount of people close to Trump who have ties to Russia. The right wing side did the same thing with Hillary and the Clinton Foundation and the support they got from muslim nations and how she had helped them as Secretary of State after they donated to her. And the left wing side dismissed it and called it false. Lots of evidence everywhere of people working other countries but is any of it true or just random chance and speculation.
