That's a side effect of mastering sarcasm and irony. Satire so brilliant and eloquent the author takes for granted how many steps ahead of everyone else he is.
Yeah Carlin pshed that point for a while and its pretty spot on. The planet does not have a brain or give a fuck if it even exists. Who cares about the gay planet
It's a retarded point if you actually take it seriously. Anyone who wants to live on the planet cares about the planet, normal people don't think the planet has feelings but destroying the environment to the point where it becomes difficult to maintain a quality life is a concern.
I guess..and Im not even against that, but environmentalists act like its about the planet itself, which would be fine as a ball of water, and not like its just the people, which is kind of disingenuous
Lol what? I believe in climate change, I just think theyre presentation that they actually give a shit about the dirt and trees and not themselves is kind of ungenuine
I'm clearly arguing with someone who probably only listens to singles and blurts out Bach to pretend for a moment they know a thing or two about muzak.

hahaha I hope for your sake trying to sound like a pretentious cunt poor attempt at humor.
This maybe controversial, but I think some of Handel and Vivaldi's pieces are much more enjoyable and impressive than the majority of Bach's. Restricting to the late Baroque period, of course.
It was just a big extension of his bit about the ridiculousness of words. Euphemisms and other bullshit people use to manipulate. Save the Planet was a manipulative catchphrase and while it was more or less innocuous, it was still inherently dishonest. It wasn't a bit about the environment or nature, it was a bit about words. People are annoying when they pick the "right, perfect" words to enhance their cause.
Flight attendant, pre-heated oven, 90 years young, differently abled, post-traumatic stress disorder, personhole cover (which was an exaggeration), and Save the Planet are all in the same category.
Colin is probably pissed that The Guardian labeled it comedy. He enjoys the mindfuck too much to condition audiences to understand his intent or humor. Reading the what the hell is going on reaction in the comments is great.
I’ve experienced this planet’s wrath first hand ... well, wrath is too strong a word, and so is firsthand for that matter. I’ve experienced this planet’s harassment, from a slice of pizza getting soaked by a sudden rainstorm to a sunburn that left me unable to put on my shirt when I was a child. Living with this planet is like living with an alcoholic.
