As an adult wrestling fan I have always hated the "wrestling is gay" stereotype. But being around other wrestling fans at WWE events I have noticed a common theme. Alot of them are big sports fans that casual still follow it because of nostalgia. The adults that don't follow sports but are hardcore wrestling fans are usually openly gay. They watch as an excuse to check out men in underpants. Sam's is a huge wrestling fan with no interest in sports. He is happily married so I'm not saying he is gay. So he must be an exception. But it is definitely food for thought.
