The Comedian was written by Art Linson, Jeffrey Ross, Richard LaGravenese, and Lewis Friedman, none of whom are Jim Norton.
With a $1,646,445 domestic total at the box office on a $15M budget, any legitimate Hollywood insider would in no way shape or form refer to this as either a "blockbuster" or "smash hit". In fact, those numbers point to the exact opposite, that the film was actually a catastrophic failure that lost a sizable amount of money for the people financing it.

Jordan Peele is both the writer and director of the #1 movie at the box office Get Out, that is true.
However Jim Norton has not written nor directed any movie that is currently playing in theaters, nevertheless a "smash hit".
