I think that whomever is the real Father of the child should take over both Sam's role as Jess' husband and his role as mediocre morning radio host. Could you imagine how unfortunate you would be to inherit even 1 or 2 of Sam Robert's physical traits. Poor kid. Now I am just sad thinking about it.
