He wasn't trying to make Jim work fewer days, and he couldn't even if he wanted to. Jim has a contract with Sirius. He was just trying to work with Jim less, which both of them seemed fine with.

Opie was doing shows on days Jim took off for his "big" Sirius tour and popping in for random afternoon shows. Jim was coming in when Opie took his personal days in the summer. Looking back on it, they were avoiding the fuck out of each other last year.
