joe was probably the best OnA regular comic outside of the tough crowd guys (colin, vos, burr, bobby, patrice, etc). him and burr on uniformed was the funniest radio show i've ever heard and when he was on YKWD it was the best it's ever been.
he's a great sidekick to a good comic and he would always take the bait and made good radio.
You should check.out The Uninformed show with burr and derosa. I would say it is still the best spin off show O&A have had. Hell even Danny is pretty good on it.
It seemed like once he was drinking buddies with Anthony, he got too comfortable and wasn't funny anymore. I remember a show where he went on and on about Frank Zappa.
Other people fell prey to getting too comfortable once they were buddies with Anthony too.

The 2 Nopie shows with Patrice, the Patrice death show, and Better Call Saul are my only exposure to Joe Derosa...so I don't completely hate him.

I liked DeRosa back then too. Him and Soder were my favorite "newer" guys in the OA crew.
