Radio is a dead man walking, it was bound to happen. Dont act like this subreddit was the reason the show/channel is dogshit and deserved a name change, blame your hero Opie for not being able to provide decent enough content to keep his career alive. He's relied on others so much that he sorta had management fooled, then he went and made those vague shitty youtube videos and ended up shooting himself in the foot. Opie didnt sign the contract and thats when landed him in the position he is in right now. Management got sick of him playing around and Opie didnt realize he didnt have the upper hand.
I definitely didn't say Opie is a hero. I actually said Jim my is the quickest ans most whitty. I just enjoy 6 hours of daily, real, live, unedited, and not pre-recorded content. The fate of radio is what it is, and all I am saying is why make it worse? Obviously you care about the channel or show since you subscribe here. Let's stop cutting the wrist of the show. Also, I don't disagree with your contract points. I'm not saying anyone is a good person.
Right after Patrice died in 2011 something happened to the show, all three hosts got lazy, with the addition of rolands celebrity bookings the show lost its way. First Opie got lazy, started playing sudoku and candy crush, then Anthony was too lazy and started his infamous race rants and Jimmy just got bored and it was evident.
what Im trying to say is the show and the hosts have been circling the drain for awhile. All of this was bound to happen.
I resubbed to Sirius for J&S and it had good momentum in the begining but its getting slower and staler due to the fact that Jim and Sam think that we care about them as personalities, when infact the reason O&A was famous was for having a panel of comedians come on and bust balls and bring up topics and videos.
Sometimes you just gotta let things die, think of the O&A universe as chester and Opie kicked the poor lil fella in the liver, its only a matter of time before its time to put O&A down for good.
It's simple. Everyone is confused since O&A broke up and aren't thinking clear, so firstly.. Destroy Opie and just really take time to work on ourselves and clearly think about how Jim and Sam should probably be destroyed too. Ant will be murdered from a catfishing middle school minority transexual with mommy AND daddy issues from their tranny parent.
Then we all blame each other for everything in the listening threads for vic n sherrod's dassabesso-radio
I like to support all the O&A gang. I don't like seeing any of this happen to the men who gave their hearts to entertaining us for so many years. This is a true end of an era.
The problem is there aren't really any shows that capture what opie and anthony used to be, Jim and Sam is close but not close enough. They aren't our idols, because they no longer give us a reason to be loyal and they make it funny and easy to hate them
