I watched that whole Redbar thing too, and while I enjoyed it, I'm not really sure it was actually any good, and I didn't really find it funny either. I just enjoyed watching someone shit on someone I disliked for 6 hours - basically my entire night. It's the kind of thing that really makes me think someone should just throw my life in the fucking garbage can because it's absolutely worthless.

Without context it does sound pretty fucking stupid! But the matarese video was a pretty big thing. He's a guy Ant has been supporting with TACS. He's fairly known in the podcast world with Nick DiPaulo and Artie featuring him. He was building up steam in his own world. And then he had the balls to roll with the big boys with this fixing Joe. It seemed like everything was building up beautifully to the Cumia/Norton/Lange show and it spectacularly collapsed all around him in one hour of magic. Dress it down all you like, you gotta admit that's a fucking satisfying story and worth bashing him for!

You most certainly are you new, he fucking hates broadcasting. He finds it very gay and thinks very lowly of his listeners, he just prefers this to doing actual work. His show started in 2003 when it was a new and exciting medium, but by now this became his job and he's stuck in it. He shits on people he hates one day a week and he takes the rest out, so it's a good gig. It's definitely better than being stuck in a cublicle and doing soul crushing monotone nonsense, even if he hates it.

Fair enough - I've only seen a very small window into Redbar. I watched a few eps where he bashed Gavin and Bucky/Lady Alchemy and then the Matarese show. I can definitely see myself getting bored fast once the novelty wears off.

I think the only way for them to get it back is for Ant to go back with Opie to REAL radio in the morning and Video podcast type show later maybe 2 hour morning and 1 hour in the afternoon or something like that. Similar to how they did it before on K-Rock
