Way more suggestions than I thought I'd get, thanks gang!

Oz. Boardwalk Empire. Shameless. Golden Girls.

Search Netflix ya lazy no-thinkin-for-yerself pessa G.

Yeah browsing netflix usually yields a solid result

Oz is garbage if you go back and watch now. Doesn't age well.

If you can find it, check out Cracker from ITV in the mid 90's. It's a great crime drama starring Robbie Coltrane.

" just a bit of compassion... "

Robert Carlyle having a little mischief in a corner or shop is something I can never forget.

"You robbing Paki bastard"

I was in love with the woman who played the shopkeeper's daughter.

I prefer Taggart, "THIRS BIN A MURRDA SARGENT"

Rome was an amazing show

Its on Amazon Prime, I'll check it out.

Caesar dies.

I knew Big you-know-who died before I started watching the Sopranos thanks to Jimmy talking about it on a NOpie show

Big Pussy is a rat and dies. Killed by Tony, Sil and Paulie at the end of season 2 of the Sopranos.

Was it really season 2? Christ I went through that whole series in like 2 weeks

Adriana is killed by Sil, Ralphie is killed by Tony, Tony Uncle Johnnie is killed by Tony, Bobbie gets assassinated by unknown killers, Paulie rapes Meadow, Johniecakes rapes AJ and Stacks gets killed too.

"Big you-know-who", its okay to curse Nana.

I was going to suggest Rome. I'm glad someone else saq it.

Loved Rome.

Thank you for this recommendation. Halfway through the series, and I'm loving Vorenus and Pulo's friendship. Also, Atia is brilliant.

Welcome, my man

Are there any more shows like this? Besides GOT? Is The Borgias any good?

I haven't seen Pulo, Mark Antony, Atia and some of the others in anything else. %$#%ing HBO, they put trash like Girls on but don't want to fund this series. I would love to see a full show based on Mark Antony or Octavian's life.

Never saw Borgias, the best I can recommend is the rest of the HBO historical dramas; Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire, etc.

Ty kind sir!

Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Top Boy, Black Mirror

Black mirror is super awesome.

Teen Mom 2 and Degrassi The Next Generation are top quality.

Wheelchair Jimmy was always destined for great things

I wish that bullet was a few inches higher.

Teen Mom OG here. Farrah Abraham is my dream girl.

I am more of a Janelle fan. Shooting Heroin and blowing dudes after breaking and entering is like my "Moonlit strolls on the beach"!!

How dramastic

Not to mention having an abortion, casually followed by a pedicure. A girl has errands to run, tee hee

Amazon Prime is even worse. Absolute dearth of entertainment. All seriousness, if you've never sat thru Oz...that's a great one. As is Empire. Still a lazy prick, tho.

I dont deny that Im lazy. But browsing giant libraries hoping for something to stand out has never worked for me.

Only reason I havent Oz it because its pretty old, still holds up though?

Oz holds up and still the most bruuutaal show ever.

Awesome. Now that I think about it, The Sopranos and The Wire are both early 2000's anyway

Ya goofball

Aderbeezie raped the shit out of everything lol

The knick is just a fun show to watch and Clive Owen is sooo boss.

If you like the wire Generation Kill rules

Oz, Fargo, The Americans, Mad men

Generation Kill was great.

Bonus points to The Knick for lil Jimmy's Emmy worthy acting.

Hardly my doing but I'll take gold if it's going.

Wasnt Bill Burr in it too?

Breaking Bad. Game of Thrones. Deadwood.

" Close your flap Johnnie, that I forgoe my boiled eggs "

600 pound life

He can just look at himself in the mirror dvv dvv fawk yeaahh

Peaky blinders. About gangsters in Birmingham England just after world war 1. Tom hardy and the writer of peaky blinders doing a new show called taboo which is only two episodes in but the cast is all my fave English actors so should stay fantastic

Taboo

TV Series (2017– )

Creators: Chips Hardy, Tom Hardy, Steven Knight

tsss tss i'll tell ya wuts hardy my fawkin PECKAH

Where's my gold you lying dwarf.

Hey Linda, why do you think I am a dwarf?

Because of your stupid fat head and tiny baby like legs and stunted, truncated torso.

Gold. Now.

None of those describe me, Linda. No gold for you.

How did you feel about the result on Sunday?

aids

Congratulations.

I had the same problem, and even all the suggestions were the same bullshit. Watch The Leftovers from HBO. It's basically LOST, but rated R and with better actors and writing. Seriously, it's great.

No it is an awful show with the same nonsensical writing as lost

I want to start narcos, I watched the first 5 minutes of the first episode and it was good. Boardwalk empire and game of thrones are good and have great actors in them

I tried Game of Thrones but I cant get into that Medieval style of speaking. My brother said Narcos was great though

What medieval style of speaking? You mean British accents?

Probably

This is the funniest comment ever. Throw the subtitles on and you won't even notice the accents after a while, dummy.

Medieval?

That's how they talk in England these days. In between noshing on crumpets and then not brushing their teeth of course.

Didn't you forget the constant saying of " cherrio"?

Nah, they don't eat cereal over there. They eat crumpets, like I said before? Hello?

Spot on.

"Toodle pip, old bean" is far more common.

You're not missing much. Game of thrones gets really bad in the last couple seasons

Watch it. You'll thank us. Totally holds up. Plus you'll recognize a shit ton of faces from everything you've watched since the 90's.

I watched Oz when it was new on hbo and fucked all those actors up from the get. Vern on state farm commercials? Dudes a fuckin nazi WTF.

Pretty much five dramas are considered top tier in the past 10-20 years. Sopranos and Wire are two of them. Other three are Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and Game of Thrones. Start with those three even if the pilot doesn't immediately hook you.

The Chip Chipperson Show was great but only ran for 1 season

Production costs were through the roof!

Band of Brothers

Nice, I forgot about that one

Hitler dies.

but lives in our hearts forever

There's also the Pacific, it's kind of a companion piece.

If you like horror check out SLASHER. Season 1 only 8 episodes on flix.

Deadwood, Fargo, Justified, The Americans

I will second Deadwood

They're talking about doing a movie as a follow up.

As much as that sounds appealing in concept, all these niggas are 15 years older or somesuch. An elderly Swejin with his arthritic claw attempting to slice Bullock's bald spot is something I don't want.

To hear Mr Wu call him swejin once more would be worth it! I always wish they would have done one more season. The last scene where Bullock talks that shit to George Hearst is great. Amazing show

I don't know if they'd be able to get Jefffrey Jones back lol.

WESTWORLD was pretty ambitious. Of course BOARDWALK EMPIRE is great, if you haven't caught up with GAME OF THRONES you should. What else? NARCOS isn't bad. TRUE DETECTIVE Season 1 is amazing, Season 2 has some good aspects to it, but its not solid really. COWBOY BEBOP is a good all-around watch, if you're an anime fan or not: Especially if you're not.

Those suggestions are pretty PFG!!

I'm glad someone picked up on that...

Thanks for highlighting the bit.

your mother

My mother.

That was a PFG suggestion.

Hot take: Westworld sucked. The linear plotline kept my dick soft and the big finale was a huge letdown.

The Shield. Criminally underrated. Michael Chiklis and Walton Goggins are titans.

Great show. I'm actually marathoning it now and on season 2. Season 1 was a masterpiece.

A bit tame compared to cable tv today, but the Shield was the show that led the way for language and violence on basic cable. Seeing Julian the fag and his gay lover kissing, or Shane calling the NJ Nets player a nigger, or causal shits and dickhead or asshole or blowjob verbally. That was "pushing the envelope" in 2002 and every other show followed suit to that we have today on cable.

Great show!

Vic dies.

Walton Goggins is great in everything he's in. Maybe the best character in Justified and The Shield

Never got around to Justified but I'm about to start Vice Principals and I'm definitely pumped for him.

The Shield. Breaking Bad. Fargo. Animal Kingdom. The Leftovers. The Americans. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Mr Robot. Ray Donovan. Quarry. Shameless. Sons of Anarchy. Dexter. Game of Thrones. WestWorld.

Like a queer I went on my DVR and named everything I'm recording(minus a few gay shows like Awkward), with a few older classics thrown in.

Utopia and Mr Robot. Ur welcome

Mr robot stinks

Oooh edgy frog boy with his computer and autism. Suck my balls

When and where faggot? Fuckin love that show

Utopia was fucking great

Loved it. Its a shame it fell through with hbo

ah i didn't know the remake didn't happen. If the channel 4 version was made exactly the same but by netflix it would be massive

Breaking Bad, Rome, Spartacus, Ash vs the evil dead, Fargo, Vikings

I hated Spartacus. I think it was all the bloody Australians in it. I hate anything that's made over there.

Filthy convicts.

I hated Spartacus. I think it was all the bloody Australians in it. I hate anything that's made over there.

Filthy convicts.

Watch The Shield. Breaking Bad is good too.

Those are probably the best but

Game of thrones True Detective Shameless True Blood Boardwalk Empire All worth at least a watch

True Detective was amazing on the first watch.

Those silly colored policemen lol.

Fargo was a good un too.

Those silly colored policemen lol.

I believe the PC term is porch monkeys.

Appalachian Outlaws is the best show on TV right now

You are a mouth breathing simpleton. All you are watching is Sons of Anarchy with a different location.

It's not even remotely similar to Sons of Anarchy. Have you even seen it?

No, i'm being your basic Redditor and talking out of my ass ;)

Bloodline

Great show. Danny Rayburn was the best character.

Ryan O'Reilly is the Allstate "Chaos" asshole, Adebesi has some shitty network show. The other nazi guy that wound up on Law and Order?

I couldn't make it through The Wire. I never thought the show held up to what its most ardent admirers said. Was never terribly interested in what was going in, however well done it may have been. Midway through S4 I had a moment of clarity and realized that whatever viewing enjoyment I was deriving was gone. Sopranos is definitely the greatest of all time, though, with Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Boardwalk Empire as close runner-ups.

As far as recent shows go, I would say beware Mr. Robot. S1 was striking and unique, but for me S2 got lost in a vortex of self-infatuation with its overemphasized style. Just tell a compelling story, and stop ensuring that every character in every shot gets framed in the lower right hand corner for no discernible reason.

Right now I'm powering through the American version of Shameless. It's funny, trashy, the insanely hot Emmy Rossum is generously nude a lot of the time.

The Shield, Deadwood, Carnivale.

Queer as folk

I just finished all of teletubbies on youtube

Lot of good suggestions here. Of things I haven't seen mentioned, Larry Sanders Show, Peep Show, Life and Times of Tim, Ash vs Evil Dead, Children's Hospital, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Delocated, Jon Glaser Loves Gear (includes Bob Kelly cameo), Extras, Harvey Birdman, Mike Tyson Mysteries (Norm Macdonald),

And don't trust anyone that recommends Mr. Robot. Good at cliffhanger teasing, but a vapid pile of shit.

Following The Wire is tough, I'd go Deadwood or Rome, though S2 of Rome was kind of a mess. Otherwise pick a Director you like and watch Movies you haven't seen by them. I'm working on a Scorcese and Sidney Lumet rewatch.

Peep Show is great. It's a british show, but don't let that deter you from watching it. It's fawkin bruutally hillarious.

Deadwood is my favorite series of all time.

Boardwalk Empire were great.

The Australian series Underbelly was great to very good for the first 3 or 4 years. You can see a sample here -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLurDPHGzzM&list=PLCP9pufmKuFpXLwfkBr2MAvS6ULjjCyxF&index=13 .

The BBC series Luther is a very good quick one.

Gomorrah is a great Italian series in the vein of The Sopranos. It just started rebroadcasting on American Tv (Sundance), but you can find the first 3 seasons on Putlockers, etc.....

The Corner from HBO was like a proto The Wire, you might like it. You can see the episodes here -

www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Paz0ajIxzI .

Mad Men is great, I'd recommend block viewing though, never found it to be a good casual show, because the plots are so interwoven.

Oz was fun if you've never seen it.

Thanks buddy

Sure thing. One other that just popped into mind is 11.23.63 . It was probably the best short series of 2016 to me.

Short series are my shit doo

Then check out The Night Manager as well, Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Hugh Laurie (House M.D.) in a James Bond style showdown. I'd pick it over 11.22.63 as best 2016 miniseries.

I'd toss Deadwood in with The Sopranos/The Wire/Rome as much watch HBO shows as well.

Try going for a walk and talking to some people.

You should watch a show a lot of girls watch so you will have something to talk about

How was the Wire?

Incredible. Constantly introduces new characters and new storylines all throughout the 5 seasons.

In the beginning its basically about the "beat cops" of homicide combatting the drug trade in Baltimore, a few specific dealers. By the 5th season it becomes about government beuraucracy (however you spell that) and the medias role in the justice system.

Wow. I don't know if it's my ADHD or just a shitty attention span, but I've tried getting into it several times over the years, and just couldn't do it. I get a few episodes in, and just don't get any enjoyment out of it. There's a lot to process, and not a lot to keep me invested.

Youre probably a better critic than I am. But the fact that Im not doing anything productive lately allows me to completely invest in a show until I like it.

For the record, I watched the first episode of The Wire like a year ago and didnt care for it. But after watching the Sopranos, I dove right in and enjoyed it by the end of the second episode.

No, you seem to echo the sentiment of most people who have watched the show. I think I need to just plow through, despite my shitty attention span. I really do wanna know what all the hype is about.

Yeah I'd say stick to it through like 4 episodes. If you arent into it after that, theres probably no hope.

I think I've even gotten further than that. I'm gonna try again though.

Or you can just follow the Adam Carolla route and intentionally not watch it just so that people will blow up in your face with exasperation that you haven't watched the wire.

sherlock fargo narcos

Very succinct

Great suggestions here. The only one I'd add is Banshee.

I hear Bloodline is good. I haven't seen enough of it to decide whether its good or bad though. So you might find it to be shit if you get farther than me.

True detective season one

Breaking Bad, The Missing is dope, Bob's Burgers

Boardwalk Empire is really good. Its just irritating that all of its season are on Prime except for the final one.

Def. Shows where organized crime really began...good stuff. Twisted shit.

http://watchcartoonsonline.eu/watch/beavis-butt-head-s8-ep5-supersize-bathroom-break/

This website has full Beavis and butthead episodes with the music videos. I binged watched the fuck out of these during the Christmas break, they're still hilarious

Oz is pretty fun.

The only TV series I watch are books.

The Anthony and Dani show

Hell's kitchen, Intervention, and Hoarders are my favorite shows..over the top reality bullshit

The first series of True Detective is quite possibly the best television series that's ever been made. Breaking Bad is amazing too once youbget past the first season, but if you haven't watched that already you're probably a fucking weirdo anyway

True Detective, Fargo, Breaking Bad, Deadwood

Naruto, trust me bro its SIIICKKK.

Thanks buddy
