I was actually at this exact taping just as a Jim Norton fan with very little knowledge of O&A. It was hilarious and had great energy in the moment (even knew then that fucking Sherrod was a DUD, though he ought to be DOA, right fellas?) but Vice was right to kill it off. Blinky bundle of nerves Norton is not host material. He's hilarious but about as charismatic as an eastern European slaver.
Attell was hilarious on this episode. Jimmy should have stopped doing his phony self deprecation and just delivered a monologue if he wanted to have a show where he pretended to be a late night tv host.
The poor lil' fella just can't help but put himself down. God he can be such an off-putting presence. Nobody's going to watch your shit if you don't look like you believe in it and/or they can't bear to look at you. He wanted to be Jay Leno but didn't even get to be Chevy Chase. Poor bastard.

Don't get me wrong I liked the show for the most part and wanted it to do well but his monologues just came across as so poorly calculated in such a phony manner like "wu-hoaw folks we're still getting the hang of this. I know I'm a blinker wink wink. I SSSUUUHHHUUUUCCKKKK. Now let's sit down and do serious interviews"

It wasn't until after I started to become a little more invested in the show, to my great regret.
His first guest were Tyson and Dana White. And FreeWay Rick Ross. How the hell was that suppose to be a new tough crowd? Your point is is stupid and I hope you get acid thrown at your wife
