I followed Patton for as long as I've had a twitter account until about 2 months ago when he became too nauseating. I'm a pretty liberal guy and my politics align mostly with his and I still find him to be a huge douche on Twitter. He's definitely a funny guy, but politics sometimes infects otherwise rational people and their whole persona becomes wrapped up in it. Maybe he's going to get out of comedy and go into politics like Al Franken.

most good comedy isn't explicitly political because standing on stage and making political points is rarely funny.
