Jimmy has said this about Opie repeatedly during interviews since the breakup. While this of course means things like Uncle Paul, I'm sure Opie also doesn't find the one trick pony tranny/gay shit funny anymore either. He's not wrong.

I'm not sure about this use of egalitarian here. Pointing out that Opie is probably right to not find certain things that seem to make up the majority of Jim's repertoire not funny isn't egalitarian. I don't think I could force a laugh if I was sitting across from Jimmy and had to hear the same tranny/gay shit day after day.

Yes but the fact remains that he's only suppressing things that may or may not make him, and his new direction in radio, look good. Its one thing to make Jimmy pump the brakes on Opie and Anthony, because its STILL Opie and Anthony after all. Its another thing to suppress it because he wants to take the show in a faggy direction. I wouldn't mind Jim and Sam chilling out on talking to porn stars, even if Jim won't admit he's trying to live vicariously or something through them. And they've gotten good content from them in the past. But at least they're trying to take the show away from the direction of Opie's descent.

Jimmy specifically mentioned "Uncle Paul" bits not being on the Best-Of shows as much. I don't hate Uncle Paul as much as Opie apparently does, but I could see why airing a "Best of Uncle Paul" one morning would not be the best way to attract new listeners. "Best of Chip" was even kind of risky but who cares. Also Chip can be in a bunch of different topics in different directions, while Uncle Paul doesn't really have many layers
