Honest question: What WINE does this sub enjoy?
2 2016-12-24 by TangerineReam
I figure there's some wine-heads on here that can throw their dick around about the best wine. It's how people like me learn...
Best brand for affordable wine (that goes with everything)
Best wine brand if you have some buckage to splurge

Did you pick up a bottle.
1 TangerineReam 2016-12-24
someone suggested Sancerre, Barolo, or Amarone; I went with Kings Estate (which you suggested). Good looking out sir; it did the job.
I remembered a wine that Dani talked about in one of her Periscope ramblings in Ant's house. Some brand where its hundreds a bottle at a restaurant, but cheaper from establishments like yours. Its from Cali? San-something or other? Wanted to try that, but couldn't remember the brand and couldn't find her dumb video

Not ringing a bell, but if you wanna spend that kind of money keep an eye out for Opus One.
1 TangerineReam 2016-12-24
Now what kind of wine/how much is Opus One?
1 Mud- 2016-12-24
She could be saying Santa Margharita which would be in that range, but it's white and Italian.
1 TangerineReam 2016-12-24
And thats from Cali?
Also Opus One looks tough (cool) as shit (as per your suggestion): http://www.opusonewinery.com/product/Opus-One-2013?pageID=b30fabe2-9a98-ed62-9006-cc7a7a4693c7&sortBy=DisplayOrder&maxRows=6&

Yeah, mondavi winery.
1 Mud- 2016-12-24
It's kinda hard to find, it's gets allocated a lot. You may have to do some calling around.
1 TangerineReam 2016-12-24
Seems like you can order it offline, ill prob do that eventually
1 Mud- 2016-12-24
Sancerre blows. Barolos and Amarones are top tier Italian reds, can't go wrong with either.

1 TangerineReam 2016-12-24

3 Mr702law 2016-12-24
Caymus is decent. About $50 a bottle. I like Cabarnet Sauvignon.
Silver Oak also good. There's so many wines TBH. I just got back from Napa. I'm wined the fuck out.

No wine or brand of wine goes with everything. Some cheap ass good ones are Dr Loosen Reisling, Kung Fu Girl Riesling, Grochau Cellars Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Commuter Cuvée 2014, various Rioja.
Some good kinds to splurge on would be Sancerre, Barolo, or Amarone. Anything good of those kinds will be at least $50/bottle.
3 TangerineReam 2016-12-24
OK. I heard some good wines could be had at 300 smackers a bottle
2 philtheprince 2016-12-24
I don't have a favorite, but when somebody gives me a bottle, I go to wine.com and make sure it costs at least $40.
Then, occasionally, when I want to gang up with my sober coworker against my hard partying coworker, I say that I don't drink.
