opie was never really funny but he did have some occasional moments, he was never not funny enough, honestly, he was just a baby and couldn't take a joke. if it wasn't for that i would be pro opie.
i know we hate him and all but he doesn't seem like a bad guy. it seems like the sub is going to throw him in the trash and he's gonna die poor and divorced by next year and that would kinda depress me.
any body else on the opie pity train? i really wish he would admit he's been a fag and apologize so that we could move on you know gang? i just want everybody to be happy.
thoughts? inb4 i'm opie

opie is a mean person, not worthy of your pity

...and that dog's ribs, and that lady Gremlin's guitar, and that nagel kid's phone number, and that executive producer's life. The list goes on.
We're all due our chance at redemption but some self awareness helps along the way. He'll be fine, most dickheads are in the end, but he will be irrelevant.

He filled our radios with burps, interruptions and horrible sounds while surrounded with entertaining people who he would steamroll out of spite for their talents or abilities while earning millions to essentially ruin our entertainment. What's not to forgive?
edit: AND we had to wait for corporate executives to notice that he was hated. Our disapproval wasn't tallied in their fucked-up new-fangled rating system. So we had to wait about 7 or 8 years longer for him to be half-rationally evaluated by the corporate cocks that then, brought to an understanding of his worthlessness, allowed him to stay on as the stray dog because of a branding thing, which really resonates with people these days.
