My conspiracy theory is that Jim reads Reddit from time to time and knew that Denny would be a home run. Hopefully Opie wasn't too upset with Denny basically stealing his show. Basically.

I love Denny. He's a complete dork but his genuine passion for radio and lovable hackiness make him enjoyable to listen to.
He's also a hell of a lot more self-aware than certain other fat-breasted mushmouths.
