Bobby describes Jimmy's act as "Consistently good… not awesome or amazing"

Isn't that kind of a devastating thing to say, or am I projecting my own insecurities? I get that it's intended as a compliment, but Jimmy's entire self-worth and sense of identity revolve around his stand-up. A good friend and a peer describing you as not amazing or awesome must sting.

Not denying the autism allegations, but I don't think so. He seems to be making a genuine point (with the Chris Rock comparison). Jimmy laughs because it's uncomfortable, but it didn't sound like ball busting to me.

I know Jimmy has said Bobby "murders" on stage, so it probably would have been nice to get that back from him. That said, and I know I'm just a civilian, but I hate when comics say another comic "murders" on stage. More back-table-at-the-Cellar-speak NY comics use. Rogan and Russell Peters once talked about how they all are trying to talk like Dave Attell.
