Howard made fun of Arnold Schwarzenegger back in the day for having a presidential entourage. He was really fantasizing about having his own. - Jackie pointed out that even though we all saw him as a Hunter S or Carlin type, he was really just a geek with his nose to the glass waiting and striving to be some elite aristocrat. I think Kimmel helps him enforce that idea, but I don't think it's envy. It's mutual show-business using. That said, I don't know why Artie is so invested. He's got shit going on, yet he keeps yapping about this shit.
It's possible. Remember he really wanted Late Night but didn't realize Fallon was offered it a year before Conan left. The rumor was NBC wanted him but Lorne threatened to retire if his boipussy Jimmy didn't get the job. I don't know how true that is. But Hoo Hoo did campaign for the job and Fallon had been a has been for like 4 years by this point.
howard liked being mentioned as a possible late night host but he didn't actually want that job. it's a ton of work and stress for not as much money as he is used to being paid.
Howard is the king of bullshit. He always made noise about him taking a job but then never really went for it. He's too afraid of branching out, failing, and damaging his brand.
Everything was always just a way for him to haggle for a bigger radio deal.

Howard gave you - an average comedian at best - the greatest gig on earth. Enough with this fat fuck.

I only listen to Artie when he goes on a bender and recovers and when he trashes Stern. Even now those two topics are getting stale for me.

A fat, whiney junkie who couldn't even off himself is telling Howard Stern what he's doing wrong...

Jackie was right. Howard loved making fun of pretentious Jennifer Anniston on the radio but couldn't wait to sit next to her at a dinner party.

I guess Opie abandoned his fans because he envies fez from Ron and fez

Artie is right on the money about Howard. Ronnie the limo driver is now funnier than Stern.
