He's made the joke a few times before that he was kidnapped/held hostage by Opie. That's why Sam is being over the top coy about not knowing what he means.

i enjoy the banter between Jim and Sam. The biggest problem with the show is that Jim has virtually nothing of interest to talk about. The whole conversation about IT was actually refreshing because Jim was familiar with the story and could speak at length about it instead of filling the airtime with memes.
Even if people don't like hiphop and wrestling, Sam has things to talk about. If I were the skinny fat mulatto, I would try to get Jim to consume some media. Tell him it's important to the show that he has something to talk about.

Sometimes it's bad, but at least it's good more often than O&J, which was >90% terrible. I did turn it off within 30 seconds today when they were talking about a TV show I don't watch and taking calls on it.
