I was gonna say exactly this, it's such a Rogan thing. I went to see Greg Fitzsimmons 50th podcast episode this year live at the Comedy Store, and he had Rogan on the show with him along with Mike Gibbons. Gibbons is fast and funny for an old guy, and the amount of times Rogan brought the show to a screeching halt with his lack of any kind of improv skills or ability to "yes, and" anything was terrifying.

It's just so fucking repetitive. Every interaction is Sam playing the straight man, acting clueless, and Jim either trying to do some cutesy bullshit, OR, he'll also play the straight man. It's tedious and unfunny. Like you said, Jim isn't trying, he's just phoning it in.

A lot of the more repetitive stuff is not even funny in the first place.

Jim could not have been less funny on Cum Town or the J&S show with Nick. Talking about his stupid fucking app really made me hate him yesterday.

I actually agree with the other guy that it seemed like Jim had a problem with Nick. There's no way he didn't realize how bad he was making the show - he would constantly redirect potentially funny setups to talk about the same shit over and over.

I think there's some truth to this, but I seems to me Jim likes Nick and might even be working with him. The fact that he did Cum Town and brought him on J&S, plus I thought I picked things up that made it seem like Jim might be working with him on other things.

I know nick has done some writing for Jim before - I think on his Vice show. Who knows, maybe he likes Nick but the way he was disrupting that show seemed clearly intentional to me.

I dont think it was because there was one other time when it was just him and Sam and he was fiddling with his phone. That time it was more back and forth talking about the issue but it was still all over the place because Jim just kept messing with his phone.
