I think it's partly Joe being done with the gig as well. He's talked he's only interested in doing certain cards nowadays. He's definitely done fewer events in the last few years.
I'll confess I fell out of love with the UFC; it's heading to that WWE direction, more of a circus freak show these days, with fighters mouthing their way to title fights. It's making them more money, but I preferred it when it was actually about fighting.
Plus it's become over-saturated. I remember when cards were once a month and a big deal. Now you have those cards, plus UFC on Fox, Fight Nights, Ultimate Fighter Finales (which seems to have a new season every other month). The roster is getting stretched the fuck out.

Once Jim Norton got on board, I knew UFC jumped the shark.
I think in the short term we are going to see the talent agency that bought the UFC seriously fuck up the promotion.
They are right about Rogan and Goldberg being more about hyping the product than objective commentators (like Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant for example). I still think they should keep Rogan though. Mike Goldberg is disposable though as I always have thought he was a mediocre commentator.
Look for someone good to replace Goldberg, keep Rogan and add a retired fighter to the team. When Couture was doing commentary I thought he was great, but he's not friends with Dana White though they need to repair that bridge.
Say what you will about Joe outside of the UFC but he's a good commentator. He's a fan and he lets that show some times which isn't professional but who gives a fuck? But this doesn't surprise me, I'd expect them to want to do more of an NFL thing and have a rotating cast of commentators. I wouldn't be surprised if they start trying to push Bruce out as well.

That would be stupid. Love or hate him, Rogan is the John Madden, Keith Jackson, Dick Vitale of UFC broadcasts.

Not only that, injuries have ruined so many cards as well.

He's said on the podcast numerous times that he has too many things going on and needs to cut some of them and UFC was most likely.

That would be a shite decision from them, he's mentioned leaving before anyway though.

Makes sense, as he has made too many comments about CTE.

I like Rogan as a commentator but I wouldnt mind having more appearences by BTDT's like Stann, Florian, Dom etc.
