He probably did them in pencil first on a separate piece of paper and only did the easiest ones. Once he had it completely done, after erasing answers multiple times, and had someone who was actually good at math check them, then and only then did he fill the actual puzzle out in pen.

I bet the people he mailed them out to probably burned them or wiped their asses with them.

Haha.....I'm sure you're right, that he probably only does very easy sudoku puzzles. And in his stupidity, he probably thinks being able to complete a sudoku puzzle means he is good at math, when sudoku really has nothing to do with math. It is pure logic. Doing them in pen really means nothing, either. Unless you are guessing your way thru the puzzle, you should always know a number is right before writing it down.

I'm kind of embarrassed to be writing a paragraph about sudoku, but I just want it to be clear that a person doesn't need to be smart to be able to do sudoku. Opie is conclusive proof of this.

I can do Sudoku fairly easily and I am a fan of a defunct radio show and post on a sub reddit board about the show. That makes me functionally retarded, right up there with a trainable, thus proving that Opie being able to do a Sudoku is not a huge achievement.
