I feel like there is two ways to read the sub

You organize posts by 'hot' or by 'new'. And there are maybe two types of people, defined by that. Like comics comics vs popular broad comics.

One way to look at it is successful people sort posts by 'hot' and the real losers of society sort by 'new'. Another way to see it is bores with generic tastes sort by hot while interesting people looking for the truth and new things sort by new.
