I was there. Got pretty uncomfortable. Nick got some boos too but not as hard as her. He responded with "You're not pulling that shit with me. I've got jokes." Her set was mostly a rant/soap box without much funny. During Nick's set a girl rushed to the edge of the stage and started screaming at him. Couldn't hear what she was yelling but Nick yelled at her "You're what's wrong with this country bitch! You're the reason Trump won" Security dragged her and her boyfriend out as they both yelled about Nick being an asshole. Burr and Bobby pulled it back around though
"Her set was mostly a rant/soap box without much funny." Every comic in LA right now. Comedy has skewed off into this sad side road, where people are propped up by this GroupThink mentality; "everyone will accept what Im saying even if it's not funny; because Im right, and we're right." Yes, that works a fair amount of the time. But it's boring, flaccid, predictable, phony, pandering bullshit. It hasn't even been a week and I've heard ears full of it. It shows what lousy comics, lazy writers, and untalented pieces of shit so many of these people are. They go up with these half-baked ideas and diatribes, no ability to divine anything funny or original or unique, which is their fucking #1 job as someone doing comedy.
I went to this mic last night in Santa Monica, the place where Kevin Pollak does his podcast. On Tues night the mic was cancelled because they were watching live election coverage. Nothing made me happier than walking in yesterday and seeing all the balloons that were supposed to drop for stupid still up in the ceiling, because their woman lost. http://imgur.com/a/6m7Dy What a great visual metaphor.
Again, it was like a funeral at this mic. Every single comic that went up. "So guys, we made it." We made it. Get it? It's funny because Donald Trump....yuck.
You know what was a nice side effect, after the 2nd comic in a row went up with the Trump bullshit, I'm like "I can't take another 2 hours of this," so I went and sat in the green room. Normally I don't do that, because I like to be supportive/sit in the crowd. Slowly I came to realize every other comic in the green room were republicans doing the exact same thing I did. And we spent the whole mic back there making fun of every crying liberal fag and unfunny comic, and I made a bunch of new friends. United through hatred! Woo hoo!
As he came out to introduce the next comic in the lineup, Leary defended Sykes, telling the crowd she came all the way from L.A. for the benefit and deserved their respect.
/r/boston has their panties in a bunch about this. Saying that Wanda got booed because she is a black lesbian (in one of the bluest states) and that DiPaolo was promoting rapes
What loser goes on their own city's reddit anyways.
Liberal white women who drive old Volvos with decaying bumper stickers. White guys with gauges and flatbilled hats. Fat black autistic guys that everyone is overly friendly to to fill a black friend quota.

How is this a thread? Motherfucker, it's Massachusetts. It gets fucking cold here. How do you not have one already? What the fuck happened to my state?
It amused me how ultra libs were always so "were the progressive ones. Everyone should get along. Hug a tree. Everyone gets a trophy. Protect everyone's feelings." And now they're flipping their shit and acting like children throwing a tantrum.

He called her a "Peabody Jew" which is one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

Given that he's a Danvers guy I'd go with "a Peabody two. Meaning sub Lady Di attractive. Either way, I'd laff.

What the fuck happened to Boston

Boston's fine, for the most part. People who frequent the Boston subreddit? Not so much. What loser goes on their own city's reddit anyways.

I go on my city's subreddit sometimes. How else will i get "the dish" on what's what and who's who?

I saw a subreddit for an area near me called /r/denton and some guy was posting there looking for friends. It was so cringey.

I had a look. Their front page are sunset pics and brewery questions. I've instantly judged them.

Do yourself a favor and follow Wanda on Twitter. She is insightful and funny.
6 CIAshill18081990 2016-11-13
No.
11 TheSean85 2016-11-13
Your loss, buddy. Without her you're gonna have to find those HuffPo articles yourself.
3 humanmeat 2016-11-13
I don't have to, I just follow Keith and he retweets everything she says, except with additional drool.
1 DeafandMutePenguin 2016-11-13
I'd rather stick a fork up my ass.
