Nate Silver identified the larger than average percentage of undecided voters as a factor that made the election difficult to poll. The popular vote is pretty even.
But that's just not what happened, factually. Numerically. Trump beat Clinton within the margin of error, you're as likely to meet a person that voted for either candidate. The ninja voting battalion doesn't exist, they were polling the whole time and in the last week of the election Trump pounded the areas he needed to win.
