When your former co-host tells people that you admonished him and others off-air, telling them not to make fun of you, on a show about making fun of people, where Opie (Gregg Hughes) is often the loudest (and trying to be the meanest) voice in the room, well, I don't think someone photoshopping you in a funny hat is going to show the world you can take a joke, Ope!
I think Office Space is one of the only movies he has any memory of. Only because I've heard plenty of old clips where someone would reference that movie and Op would have to make a big show of how he got the reference and ask any guest that may be in studio if they've seen Office Space. Any other movie reference and he just does that stupid laugh like he knows it's supposed to be funny but he doesn't know why.
I bet you a quarter he just knows the references are being made, nothing else. Like he knows through repetition when the lads were doing Jaws because Ant would do his mayor voice and shout about cutting open a belly for the 1000th time. Doesn't mean he ever saw the movie. Opie's an idiot, but much like Pavlov and his dog, he licks his own ass every now and again.
