patrice was annoying when he was alive and on the show and fans/comics have glorified him in death

price you pay when you die too early, had Patrice lived to be 60 or 80 no one would have given as much of a shit and been as brazen enough to say that he was their favorite comedian

He only died 5 years ago. Go read the youtube comments and shit, plenty of people thought he was the greatest before he died. I know I did.

I introduced Patrice to my buddy. He showed 'Elephant in the room' to his 40 year old gf. She was so disgusted she broke up with him halfway through the special. Two weeks later he hooked up with a 25 year old dope dealer who looks like a pornstar. They are talking about getting married. True story.

If a girl breaks up with someone because of a comedy act she had issues and thank GOD those issues came out that way instead of murder (if it was a fuck n snuff film id empathize with her)

If Patrice hadn't intervened from beyond the grave he would still be stuck with her miserable ass.

The bit about old pussy being worthless must have hit a little close to home for her.

It was Patrice that I listened for when I got into this show. I knew his stand up and loved that he had a show to go on and shit genius. I thought Opie and Anthony were just a couple of rich faggy new yorkers untill I realized the racial one was actually funny.

Lol I just saw this username in the r/Pics section pissing people off by saying some chick was a child for dressing up like a princess at her wedding....funny shit,
Anywho, everyone is glorified when they die, and its possible he would have middled out, Hollywood already has a fat black guy in Craig Robinson, but he had just closed the Charlie Sheen roast, which was the most exposure hes gotten, who knows what it could have led to, at least a few more specials could have been good. I dont care if you think he wasnt or if ur just jking but imo he wuz one of the few famous deaths that even slightly mattered.

I don't think Bill Hicks would be nearly as popular were he alive.
1 sanfrancisco69er 2016-10-13
Maybe not, but Patrice was a lot funnier than him. Hicks wasnt really funny he just stood for shit so it sorta fit him to die.
1 philtheprince 2016-10-13
Hicks is an example you can be both great AND overrated.
Kurt Cobain is maybe the best example. I'm not a big fan, but certainly he was a great songwriter. Is he overrated? Yes. If you die at 27, you don't have "fat Elvis years". All people remember is the good stuff.

Patrice is currently the door man in heaven.
