No, Opie didn't leave. He was BLINDSIDED. Management took away his own show, immediately removed all other presenters and their shows, gave him a really unwanted hair cut and forced him into the midafternoon slot with no more co-presenters.
Youtube doesn't display accurate viewcounts immediately. They register only views that they can verify are not spam, and add the rest as they are verified. There is serious money involved with buying views, so they have to make that harder to do. Do you think it's like a page counter at the bottom of a geocities page, you geriatric?
