Nancy Grace is the fucking worst. They were respectful in their questioning. It really highlighted her hypocrisy. At her most altruistic, she sees things are wrong about the justice system so she wants to ask tough questions and take wrongdoers to task. However, there are things wrong about our media and she exemplifies that with how she conducts her show. So Jim and Sam acted like prosecutors and asked tough questions and took her to task by acting like her and sensationalizing her wrongdoings. She can dish it, but can't take it.
Both Jimmy and Sam did a good job with her until it was apparent that SHE wanted to walk. They weren't trying to stroll her, she was not going to have anyone question her or what she does. As soon as it is apparent that someone cannot take any criticism , you cannot reason with them.
